The reception had a beautiful candlelit glow throughout the loft space with the city lights twinkling in the background. Alexandra from Exquisite Designs mixed mercury glass, white glass, clear glass, and geometric shapes to create modern centerpieces that weren’t too fussy. It was a great example of what can be done without actual flowers! The design created such a warm, inviting feeling and was the perfect look for Sybil & Malcolm!
I met Sybil and Malcolm after they decided to change their original plans of a tropical destination wedding to hosting a wedding in the city due to the recent Zika scare. They definitely knew they wanted to keep the vibe fun and modern with touches of tropical greenery to give them a little hint of their former wedding plans. City View Loft offered them a relaxed setting and Kitchen Chicago was the perfect spot for their ceremony.
Sybil and Malcolm were the most chill couple and their day was a true reflection and celebration of their love and killer dance moves. Their day was also ALL about old school music and dancing. My favorite moment was when Sybil & Malcolm danced up the aisle to Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day” after they were pronounced husband and wife.
