Bridgeport Art Center Wedding

This Bridgeport Art Center New Year’s Eve Wedding was one for the books!

When Meg, Pat, and the adorable MOB, Mary Ellen came to LOLA to help them design and implement their family’s NYE wedding, I knew we were going to have a good time.  1. Meg is a fellow Wisconsin Badger – so of course I was instantly biased to her obvious awesomeness. 2. Their top priority was to have a smashing party, and I can get behind that too. 3. The bride didn’t like flowers….. WAIT, WHAT?  Ok…  Deep breath… I can work with that too!

Instead of focusing on flowers in the design, we focused on creating drama with lighting.  Candles on the tabletops, Italian string lights over the dance floor that dropped down behind the head table to create an AWESOME backdrop for photography, hanging candles from the rafters, mirror table tops to reflect the soaring gold ruscus centerpieces, shimmery linens in multiple textures…  Every element of reflection, shimmer, and glimmer was thought out and executed in a way perfect for the existing ambiance of their gorgeous venue.

Another special touch perfect for a NYE wedding?  Welcoming guests to the reception with a glass of champagne that also served as their escort card.  This was such a fun kick off to our 2015 wedding season! We love weddings at Bridgeport Art Center wedding.
