Rachel and Quentin, both graduates of the film school at Columbia College downtown Chicago, wanted their love for Chicago and all things art-related to be the centerpiece of their wedding celebration. Poetry, song, paintings, weavings, sculpture, and (of course) a wedding film by their fellow graduates were all included in the affair.  So even though they were planning from LA where they both work in the film industry – and were going to be in Chicago a SINGLE time before the wedding, LOLA got down to business and started making things happen.

Prairie Production was the perfect gallery-like venue. Only needing a few floral touches, the main décor was the installation of artwork provided by all their loving friends and families.  An interactive experience where guests could add photos to a collage and poetry on a vintage typewriter kept people entertained. That’s some talented group!

The cocktail-style reception with food by Blue Plate made it possible for people to mingle and celebrate all evening. Thanks to the talented and charming Jeremy Lawson for these great photos!
