I started working with Meghann in the early part of 2017 and was counting down the days until her big day to see everything we designed come to life. Every meeting with Meghann was full of laughter as we easily navigated everything from invitations to flowers to timelines.
Meghann and Naveen were married at the historic Rookery Building in the Chicago Loop. The Rookery is full of beautiful architecture and marble, so not much is needed to spruce the space up. We decided to keep the design clean and classic with some modern touches. Navy blue linens with gold chargers, lush ivory florals and greenery, and mercury glass accents created just the look Meghann envisioned. Three different table designs added even more visual interest to the space, along with the draping behind the head table which really helped make it a focal piece. The greenery and candles down the grand staircase just pulled it all together!
It was unfortunately pouring rain during photos, but it didn’t phase Meghann or Naveen. They just adjusted their plan and took photos inside the Rookery. You really couldn’t ask for a prettier indoor backdrop, especially for the first look! It was so romantic to see Meghann and Naveen on the winding staircase enjoying a few moments alone to soak in all the feelings that come with getting married. Their evening was full of laughter, heartfelt toasts and funny roasts, the cutest flower girls and ring bearers, and an overall sense of family and love. I left for the night as guests turned the grand staircase into a cat walk and showed off their finest moves as they danced down the stairs. Fun was definitely had by all and Meghann and Naveen were able to end the night with some stunning photos in the middle of LaSalle St.
