When two artists wed at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, you KNOW it’s going to be amazing. When I first met Emily and Deya, I know that planning this wedding would be so incredibly special.
The couple, being amazingly talented, and well-known artists, decided to make sure their personalities and passion showed through the day. Guests received invitations hand drawn by the couple, and all of the day of print goods coordinated with the theme.
Emily, who aligns more with pastel and light tones, wore a white dress accented with stunning muted floral, and Deya, who is drawn to more saturated tones, wore a black dress with deeper tones of floral. Both carried stunning bouquets and wore amazing floral crowns made by FleurInc, who also brought the day to life incorporating the tones that each person chose to showcase in their floral. Gabe of Bianca Sansosti Artistry helped enhance each bride’s personal style through their hair and make-up styling.
My favorite personal touches of the day were that each member of the wedding party carried their favorite book or graphic novel down the aisle in place of floral. A close second is that each guest was gifted an enamel pin of a character that Emily and Deya created as a mascot of their relationship.
Olivia Leigh Photographie perfectly captured the fun and love felt through the day, and DJ BrentRolland of Fig Media so perfectly kept the dance floor packed with a musical selection that perfectly represented the couple. It was the perfect fall day at the Chicago Botanic Gardens!
