Have you ever wondered what it would be like to feast in the dining Hall of Hogwarts at Christmas time? Adrianne did, so what better occasion to explore that desire than at her and her fiancé Houston’s Christmas wedding at Cafe Brauer?! Adrianne and Houston were excited to host their family and friends at a cozy, candlelit, winter affair at Café Brauer amongst the Linoln Park Zoo Lights in early December 2018, and they certainly did not disappoint.
It all started at St. Alphonsus where Adrianne and Houston said their “I Dos” at one of the most gorgeous churches in the city. Adrianne looked like a princess in her stunning gown from Bella Bianca Bridal Couture, and Houston dapper in his tux from Emmanuel Tuxedo. After the rings were exchanged, the two headed out around town to enjoy some time with their closest friends in the cutest trolley from Second City Trolley. They grabbed some shots with Stephanie Jolin Photography at some iconic Chicago locations such as Union Station and the Chicago Cultural Center – and the rain could not get them down!
From there, everyone made their way to Great Hall of Café Brauer. The smells of delicious bites from Tiger Lily Catering made the mouth’s of guests water. The twinkling lights from above and below provided by Sound Investment truly gave life to that Hogwarts experience, and the winter foliage and candlelight provided by Stems Chicago gave life to not only tabletop, but in beautiful room focals including the magnificent Christmas trees strategically placed behind the head table. The cake by Flourish Cake Design featured bite size, edible pine cones which were ALMOST too cute to eat, and Okyne Media Lab kept the dance floor going until the very last moment – guests only to leave for a late-night slice of Domino’s Pizza – a non-negotiable piece of the wedding for Houston!
