This Floral Filled Fall Wedding at Cafe Brauer screams romance. As a wedding planner in Chicago, it doesn’t get any better than working at the historic Café Brauer within the Lincoln Park Zoo.  Designed in the ‘Prairie Style’ of architecture by Dwight H. Perkins and completed in  1908, the South Pond Refectory (aka Café Brauer) is probably the most stunningly beautiful “gymnasium” you will ever enter and a LOLA favorite for sure! We are always so honored to work within its beauty and create new memories within it’s hallowed halls where generations before us have waltzed and dined and enjoyed nature in the middle of one of the largest cities in the country.

Every wedding we plan in Café Brauer is so unique and Jen and Michael’s was no exception.  In the summer, this venue is light and bright and green, but in the fall it becomes sexy and moody and we capitalize on lighting through Frost Chicago within every level of the room.  For Jen and Michael, we flooded the room with candlelight hanging from the ceiling, placed in all the windows, on the tabletops and more… and the floral by Exquisite Designs in a fall palette of ivory, champagne, plum, lavender, peach and taupe along with glittering metallic votives was lush, elegant and timeless.  Jen LOVES flowers and they were cascading off every surface in the room.  It was absolutely DREAMY! Textural linen from BBJ Linen and carefully selected tabletop appointments from Halls Rentals completed the look at each table.

I couldn’t talk about this wedding without complimenting the absolutely GORGEOUS stationery by Steracle Press. The floral vellum overlay, wrapped cord and wax seal was a wow for guests from the very first moment.

As per usual, the Gold Coast All Stars absolutely ROCKED the reception and made the party as fun as it was beautiful.

Jen and Michael definitely earned some “best dressed status” in their wedding finery.  Jen was a Grace Kelly-esque vision in her timeless Oscar De La Renta sheath gown, and Michael showed off his style in a dinner jacket from The Black Tux.  The bridesmaids were in Jenny Yoo NYC

Stand out detail: Jen and Michael’s Grandmothers acted as their “flower girls” and were completely into it and adorable!
