A Romantic North Shore Country Club Wedding
For Chloe and Ben, soft romance, twinkling lights, and easy elegance defined the feel of their North Shore Country Club wedding. From getting ready at the family home to a heartfelt ceremony at the bride’s childhood church, every part of the day felt deeply personal.
The celebration continued at North Shore Country Club, a place where the family had already celebrated so many important milestones. As a Chicago wedding planner, I loved that sense of history from the very beginning.
We chose an early October date so we could build a gorgeous Blue Peak sail tent on the North Shore Country Club grounds. The timing was perfect. As guests arrived for dinner, the sun began to set, creating a spectacular backdrop for an evening of dining, dancing, and celebrating under the stars.
A Romantic Chicago Tent Wedding
Guests entered the tent through a burst of greenery before finding their seats on two large, custom-framed seating charts. From there, the garden-inspired design continued throughout the space.
Life in Bloom filled the tables with abundant florals in soft, muted neutrals. Deeper touches of color added warmth and hinted at the transition from summer into fall.
Above the guests, green garlands and vines wound through the tent ceiling. Twinkling lights completed the look and created a romantic canopy for dinner and dancing.
And dance they did!
The Gold Coast All Stars absolutely crushed the dance floor all evening. Guests packed the tent and kept the energy high from the first song to the last.
Meanwhile, two long custom bars flanked the ends of the tent. That made grabbing a cocktail between songs easy without missing a minute of the party.
The Party Continued: Welcome to “Club Odle”
When the band finished, the celebration was far from over.
Instead, the party animals headed back inside for an epic, DJ-fueled after-party dubbed “Club Odle.” The late-night celebration had everything you could want from an unforgettable Chicago wedding.
First, the bridesmaids became champagne girls. Then, the bride changed into a new outfit and the guests grabbed custom swag. A hilarious video confessional booth from Vista Booth kept everyone entertained.
Of course, no late-night Chicago wedding party would be complete without food.
Guests enjoyed late-night McDonald’s and a “hot dip station” featuring some of the bride’s favorite snacks. There were also plenty of chips and pretzels—which this wedding planner may or may not have been crushing between tasks!
A Special Family Connection
One of my favorite parts of being a Chicago wedding planner is getting to work with the same family more than once.
Chloe and Ben’s wedding was the second celebration I had the honor of planning for the groom’s family. Just like the first wedding, this one was gorgeous, personal, and incredibly FUN.
Getting to know a family through multiple weddings creates a special kind of relationship. It also makes each celebration even more meaningful because you understand the traditions, personalities, and relationships that matter most to them.
