In order to have a classic affair at Chicago Cultural Center, one of the most stunning venues in the city, you need to have an absolutely classic couple, and that’s exactly what we had. Jen and Brad are the sweetest couple, and not only were they so excited to exchange “I do’s” in front of their family and friends, but they could NOT wait to cut a rug on that black and white checkered dance floor!
It was not the most ideal, wintery, day in Chicago as there was more rain than snow present, but it didn’t keep Jen or Brad from shining their huge smiles I had seen a dozen times before that day when they would be together. They are truly, madly in love, and their happiness was seriously infectious! Their entire team of vendors fell in love with them right from the beginning!
For the wedding, they had such a classic, elegant vision. We wanted to keep things soft, understated, and beautiful. The main focal definitely had to be the chuppah. We wanted to make sure this was a “wow!” piece, without distracting from the existing gorgeousness of the architecture in one of Chicago’s most historical buildings, the Chicago Cultural Center, so the Exquisite Designs team worked their magic to give us just that! The soft lighting and drapery in the space from Elegant Event Lighting amplified the design and gave us the most romantic, candlelit feel. The stationary from Steracle Press was simple and pristine – black, white, vellum, and a small touch of a gold “brad” which was definitely “pun intended.” The exquisite florals were lush and abundant, brought together with soft, dusty foliage. The food from Jewell Events Catering was out of this world, and the band, the Lakeshore Encores, kept the dance floor packed for the entire night! It was an elegant affair to remember, and it couldn’t have been more of a perfect day for the most perfect couple if we tried!
