Claire and Alex were originally scheduled to wed in 2020. Like so many couples, their journey was longer than most… After an extra year of anxiously awaiting their celebration, they were finally able to get their party started on a gorgeous October day in 2021. With the texture of fall foliage and some unexpected pops of color, this bride and groom along with the magic-makers at Revel décor put their own spin on a romantic fall palette.
The happy couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St James Chapel, and then they headed to the Chicago History Museum for a formal seated meal followed by dancing with our favorite: DJ Chris of Elegant Sound & Lighting Chicago. The meal, provided by Limelight Catering, was as gorgeous as the décor and the happy couple finished the meal with not 1, but 2 non-traditional cakes. The first: a “cheese” cake (did I mention we bonded over our love of all cheese?!). The second: The most adorable groom’s cake with their beloved dog Alba perfectly perched on the side overseeing the activities of the evening.
