There are so many gorgeous country clubs on Chicago’s North Shore, but this was our first time getting to create a wedding at the phenomenal Lakeshore Country Club. With 2 gorgeous historic spaces within the club, a patio with views of the lake just begging for a tent, and the most spectacular lakeside ceremony and cocktail locations, creating a wonderful progression of exciting and special experiences for guests was truly a pleasure.
The wedding party prepared for the day on site while enjoying sneak peek views of the set up taking place outside, and it made the entire day so relaxing. They didn’t have to leave the grounds for gorgeous pre-ceremony photos and once the festivities began, they were fresh and ready to party.
Guests were welcomed with refreshments as they gathered for the lakeside ceremony, and then enjoyed cocktails and hors’ douvres while enjoying the summer breezes and watching sketch artist Kristine Steiner create personalized fashion sketches of the bride, groom and wedding party (the most amazing wedding gift from the sister of the bride!).
Dinner was an intimate affair enjoyed as the sun set on the patio in a tent by Blue Peak Tents that was dripping with floral and candlelight. We wanted a black and white wedding, but with a more romantic edge. As the light faded, the tent completely transformed, and it was truly magical. Guests were then invited inside the club for dancing and a massive wedding cake and dessert display with a pretty epic set up for DJ Matt Roan. The bride changed into a chic jumpsuit while the groom enjoyed cigars on the patio with family and friends.
