Abbey and Evan’s elegant black and white wedding at Revel Motor Row in Chicago was filled with joy, meaningful details, and an unforgettable guest experience. From the moment the day began, it was clear how deeply these two care for one another—and for every single person celebrating alongside them.
As a Chicago wedding planner, it’s always special to work with couples who prioritize their guests, and Abbey and Evan infused thoughtful personalization into every part of the celebration. Custom matchbooks were placed at each bar, their unity candle featured their carved initials and wedding date, and a deck of cards served as their creative take on a guest book.
The morning began peacefully, with both Abbey and Evan getting ready alongside their closest family and friends. Abbey spent the morning with her mother and sister while the talented team at Bianca Sansosti Artistry created her bridal look before family portraits began.
A Windy City First Look at Nobu Chicago
Abbey and Evan shared their first look on the rooftop of Nobu Chicago, embracing a truly “Windy City” moment. Despite the breeze, photographer Lana Del Mar Photography captured the moment beautifully, creating stunning portraits that reflected both the energy of the city and the excitement of the day.
After their first look, the couple explored Chicago for portraits before heading to Revel Motor Row, one of the city’s most iconic industrial wedding venues. Meanwhile, the planning and design team was transforming the space with elegant floral arrangements and soft drapery in preparation for the ceremony.
Guests were welcomed with classical music performed by Solaria Strings, setting a romantic tone for the ceremony before the celebration transitioned into an energetic reception with entertainment by Green Line Talent.
A Classic Black & White Reception at Revel Motor Row
Inside Revel Motor Row, the reception design embraced a timeless black and white wedding palette, perfectly complemented by the venue’s warm brick walls and industrial character.
The checkerboard dance floor became the visual centerpiece of the room, while tables were styled with blush-toned candles, lush greenery, amber glassware, and romantic floral arrangements. Overhead, suspended greenery and candlelit glass orbs created a soft, intimate glow above the dance floor, inviting guests to celebrate late into the evening.
Late Night Treats and a Chicago Wedding Celebration to Remember
Following dinner from Limelight Catering, Abbey and Evan cut their wedding cake from Bittersweet Pastry Shop before surprising guests with one of the most memorable late-night snack pairings we’ve seen.
In the courtyard, guests enjoyed a Jeni’s Ice Cream cart alongside Stan’s Donuts, while espresso martinis were passed around the dance floor. Later in the evening, a food truck from Taqueria Jarabe arrived to keep the party going.
As a wedding planner who has seen every variety of late-night snack, I can confidently say the ice cream and taco combination was an absolute crowd favorite.
Abbey and Evan’s wedding was the perfect blend of Chicago elegance, thoughtful design, and heartfelt celebration—a day that reflected their love not only for each other, but for the incredible community gathered around them.
