Charlotte and Drew had originally planned an onsite ceremony followed by a reception for about 150 guests with a large band but decided to host a stunning intimate wedding at Cafe Brauer. When the wedding needed to be postponed, they wanted to stick with their original venue and work within whatever the restrictions would be by the time October rolled around. Charlotte and Drew ended up with an intimate gathering with 9 of their nearest and dearest.
After hair and makeup from the amazing team at Patty McGuire Hair & Makeup, Charlotte put on her bridal gown at home with the help of her mother and sister who also acted as her maid of honor. Charlotte and Drew’s first look took place on their rooftop which overlooked their Logan Square neighborhood. Erin Hoyt captured the cozy and relaxed day, focusing on those small moments and personal details. In the middle of the Great Hall, Stems built a lush and overflowing canopy that surrounded Charlotte and Drew where, with the help of Dr. Kyle Nash, they said “I do”. Guests sat in pairs surrounding the couple.
After the ceremony, tables were moved under the canopy for guests to enjoy a beautiful meal from Blue Plate Catering and cake from Bittersweet Pastry Shop. They enjoyed some very special wines from the father of the groom and shared them in toasts around the table. The Chitarra Trio from Cagen Music provided music throughout the evening from the ceremony to the first dance. The love was so strong and proved that you don’t need a large celebration to make a wedding special.
