micro wedding

This Micro wedding at Loft Lucia may have been small in guest count, but not lacking in love! Morgan and Dan had originally planned a church ceremony and reception at the Harold Washington Library for about 200 guests. When it was looking like that would not be possible to host a wedding for that many people, we turned to plan B which was to find a smaller venue with outdoor space that would be comfortable for 50 people. With assistance from Steracle Press, we were able to send the elegant invitations out in a timely manner. On a perfect August day, Morgan got ready at the Renaissance Chicago with her wedding party who enjoyed hair and makeup services from Joey Spivey. Morgan and Dan had their first look across the street at the Chicago River and Windy City Limo transported them around the city for photos.

She walked down the aisle on the terrace space at Loft Lucia to the sweet sounds of Moeller Music and with the help of Dr. Kyle Nash said forever to Dan. They even learned the recessional song that was supposed to be played on a large church organ, Raider’s March from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Henington Photography captured the day perfectly and Smiling Toad Productions was onsite to live stream the ceremony for guests who could not attend in person. The focal point of the reception was the lush sweetheart table from Flower Firm that was showcased by ACE Chicago Events Lighting. Guests enjoyed a heavenly meal from Blue Plate Catering and two types of cake from Cake Chicago. DJ Nick helped coordinate the epic Hamilton-themed Maid of Honor toast and the fun father/daughter dance. The party did not want to end, but Signature Transportation supplied end of the night transportation for Morgan and Dan. They had the best day surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
