A Classic but High-Energy Celebration at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago

Some weddings are beautiful.
Some weddings are fun.

And then there are weddings like Hannah & Allen’s—where the energy is off the charts, the design is timeless, the dance floor never rests, and the couple makes every single person feel like they’re their favorite guest of the night.

As Chicago wedding planners, we love nothing more than a couple with style, heart, and an appetite for a great party… and let’s just say that Hannah & Allen delivered on all fronts. Their May 2025 wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago was crisp, classic, candlelit, and elegant—but also wild, high-energy, surprise-filled, and uniquely them.

If you love a timeless aesthetic wrapped in a weekend of pure celebration, buckle up. You’re about to fall in love with this wedding.

A Western-Themed Welcome: RPM Events Sets the Tone

The weekend kicked off with a western-themed rehearsal dinner and welcome party at RPM Events Chicago, where guests were greeted with cowboy-chic accents and florals by Steve’s Flower Market. It was the perfect prelude to the festivities ahead—laid-back fun, high style, and a clear hint that this weekend was going to be anything but ordinary.

A Crisp, White Ceremony Vision at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago

For the wedding day, Hannah wanted a look that was sleek, classic, and striking—so Brittanie Ahrens for HMR Designs brought her vision to life with a floral-forward white “broken arch” framed by candles and suspended chandeliers nestled inside gold shelving. The result was a ceremony design that felt elegant and architectural.

A Candlelit, Moody, Modern Reception

While the décor stayed crisp and white, the lighting and drapery by Frost Chicago took the evening in a warm, candlelit direction—a perfect contrast for a reception that transitioned effortlessly from elegant dinner to unforgettable dance party.

Nuage Designs provided elevated rentals that kept everything feeling luxurious and refined, while Steracle Press crafted paper goods that matched the clean, classic aesthetic.

Guests enjoyed flawless hospitality from the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, and when the lights dimmed, Rendezvous Bands ensured that no seat stayed occupied for long.

Meanwhile, Amanda Megan Miller Photography and 312 Films captured it all with editorial precision and Social Brides Collective captured content in real time—ensuring Hannah & Allen had behind-the-scenes moments to relive instantly.

The LIFE OF THE PARTY

Here’s the thing about Hannah & Allen: these two know how to turn a party into a PARTY.

During the reception, they pulled out CO₂ guns from Hype Productions Inc as the opening chords of “Mr. Brightside” blared from the speakers—and the crowd went wild. Within minutes, the bride and groom were crowd surfing as their guests cheered them on.

Their love story began at TCU, so naturally, there were a few “Go Frogs!” sprinkled throughout the weekend, TCU apparel making surprise appearances, and even a custom TCU-branded espresso martini ice luge by Nadeau Ice.

Beauty & Fashion

Hannah looked effortlessly radiant thanks to glam by Julia Simone for Shannon O’Brien Brides and hair styling by Gabe Post for Bianca Sansosti. Each outfit change Hannah dove into was nothing short of spectacular from her full length lace illusion dress for the rehearsal dinner to the sparkling midi for the after party, she was a show stopper every step of the way.

An After-Party to End All After-Parties

Just when guests thought the night couldn’t get any more unforgettable, the after-party kicked off with dueling pianos from Howl at the Moon

Think high-energy singalongs, late-night cocktails, and that moment when everyone hits the dance floor again even though their feet begged them not to.

It was exactly the kind of “we’re not done yet” finale that Hannah & Allen deserved.

For Couples Who Want Style and a Party to Remember…

Hannah & Allen’s wedding is proof that you can have a wedding that is elegant and classic while still throwing you own spin and flair on it. Their love, energy, and personalities shaped the entire weekend—and as their planner, we loved every second.
