An Ivy Room wedding is bound to be fun and unique, but this one takes the cake! Sam and George’s laughs are infectious. When we began designing their day, I knew we needed bright, bold pops of color and fun, quirky details to match the stunning personalities of this bride and groom. Sam and George did not miss one detail – from the Corgie and Panda cake toppers on the bride’s cake (an inside joke to the bride and groom) all the way down to their reversible hashtag/in lieu of favors coasters, and “fun fact” cocktail napkins, they were set from cake to tabletop! It even blew my mind when they decided to create three custom walking tours of the city, along with a “he orders/she orders guide” to their favorite restaurants to include in their welcome bags for their 99% of guests who came to Chicago strictly for their wedding! They said “I Do” under an incredible chuppah made to look like it lives in The Ivy Room courtyard, and the bright floral in shades of pink, blue, purple and orange was the showstopper of the evening. A final touch of airy, whimsical lighting was the last detail to tie it all together as guests sipped late night milkshakes as an ode to Sam and George’s first date at the Seinfeld diner in New York City.
