Working with this bride and groom to create a minimalist wedding at Ace Hotel was a dream come true. From the first time I met with Alena and Andrew, I knew that this collaboration would be beyond fun. Alena, a graphic designer, had the best eye for detail. We decided on a vision and worked with a fantastic team of vendors to bring It to life.

The morning started with Alena and her crew gathered to get pampered. Andie Cumber and the team from Pin me Up styled the ladies perfectly, while her bridesmen joined in the fun with a cocktail or two. Andrew and his men all gathered in one of the hotel suits to enjoy a few beers and just relax before the fun began. Ashley Bosnick staged the first look perfectly in the Way Down patio of the hotel. Alena looked like an ethereal goddess with her Hayley Paige Gown complete with a celestial-inspired crown as she walked down the aisle adorned with floral from Flowers for Dreams.

The ceremony took place on the Prairie Roof Top. The Chicago skyline perfectly highlighted the geometric arch where vows were made. Guests got extra comfortable in their seats with a curated collection of pillows and throw blankets. Once the ceremony was sealed with a kiss, guests moved inside to enjoy cocktail hour while the vendor team got to work flipping the rooftop for dinner and dancing.

A few minutes of light rain didn’t stop the crowd when DJ Matt Roan kicked off the party. Guests were so into the dance set that some started climbing the ‘jungle gym’ structure Matt played from! It was a night to remember with the perfect minimal décor and complete attention to detail.
