Nothing is more classic than a Wedding at University Club of Chicago.

Liliana and Sean were such a sweet couple. Although they were born thousands of miles apart, they both ended up in Chicago, When I met with Lily and Sean, we discussed creating an elegant, classic, Chicago wedding for their family and friends to remember. The stunning architecture of the University Club of Chicago fit that mold to a tee and the location couldn’t have been more perfect for their guests to truly enjoy downtown.

The day started with prep at the University Club of Chicago, the men hanging out in the Billiards room, shooting some pool, while the women fawned over Lily and her absolutely amazing wedding gown. This wedding gown was truly spectacular as it featured a removable train so she could have the ultimate combination of a fairy tale princess wedding gown combined with a sexy fit and flare to party the night away in.

The couple said I do at the spectacular St. Clement’s in Lincoln Park followed by a quick ride around the city with family and friends to some photo hot spots such as the Art Institute of Chicago South Gardens.

Finally, guests made their way back to the University Club of Chicago for an elegant affair. Pisco Sours were passed during cocktail hour as a nod to the bride’s Peruvian heritage, all while the groom’s nephew entertained guests by showing his skills off on the grand piano.

The reception centerpieces featured an abundance of candlelight, and every sprig of greenery that Steve’s Floral Market could imagine. The tall centerpieces were absolutely spectacular. They were composed of lush eucalyptus, ruscus, salal and sat upon a beautiful gold riser. The lower, yet still lush and mighty centerpieces featured the same assortment of greens with touches of ivory blooms tucked in to give dimension and depth.

After a spectacular dinner, but before guests made their way to the dance floor, we had one last Peruvian surprise. We had Peruvian, Marinera dancers take the stage and perform traditional dances from the Bride’s side of the world. It was the perfect touch of Peruvian flair we had hoped to intertwine with the classic Chicago day guests had experiences so far. Finally, guests danced the night away to the beats of DJ Chris, a LOLA favorite!
