Amanda & Danny’s wedding day was exactly what couples envision when they think about a fall wedding. It was full of lush, vibrant floral in a beautiful color story of maroons, burnt oranges, and blush all accented by interesting fall foliage – all brought to life by the amazing team at Life in Bloom. As guests walked into the Winter Garden at Harold Washington Library, they were greeted by twinkling lights and the scent of the thousands of flowers surrounding them. It truly smelled like heaven!

I had the best time planning with Amanda and her mom, Amy. They were such a fun mother-daughter duo that knew exactly what they liked. Amy wanted to make sure none of her guests had ever attended a wedding like her daughter’s. That meant it wasn’t going to be a green & white or blush wedding. While those color schemes are always lovely, this one would really scream autumn. I was so excited that they wanted to keep things interesting with the flowers and foliage because, in the end, the design really did stand out. We accented with two different gold chargers – again to keep things interesting! The linens were lush bone velvet with a sage napkin on the round tables and a light flowy runner on the farm tables. The beautiful tables were the perfect setting for dinner by Limelight Catering. Amanda & Danny carefully selected a menu that spoke best to their personal tastes. The entire wedding was a true expression of them as a couple. From the décor and food, down to the neon sign provided by the bride’s uncle and the hand-embroidered piece by the bride’s grandmother, it was full of personal touches. Wedding days can always be beautiful, but I think what makes them memorable and unique are those thoughtful touches like the ones Amanda & Danny included.
